The Hills Have Blondes

September 17th, 2008

The MTV reality show The Hills is another one of those tv shows that makes us cringe, yet we cannot stop watching. It is almost like seeing train wreck that contains more annoying blondes than an episode of the Girls Next Door. There is Lauren, Whitney, Heidi, Stephanie, Lo, Heidi’s sister, Spencer, and probably a few other we’ve missed that keep the show entertaining and provide an unlimited amount of “that is completely ridiculous, am I seriously watching this” moments.

If you ever wondered what it would be like living in L.A. as a twenty-something, and having your biggest concern be which blonde frenemy you might see at the club that night then check out The Hills. You can get caught up with past episodes online at MTV.com.

Discovery’s Wednesday Night Shows

September 17th, 2008

The Discovery channel has two of the best shows on television back to back on Wednesday nights. Mythbusters is one of our favorite shows to watch even though it can sometimes get a little annoying with the extreme geekiness of the hosts.

Man vs. Wild follows with an interesting and sometimes disgusting hour of tv. If you are grossed out by seeing raw meat eaten straight from the bone of dead animals, or seeing someone drink their own urine then you might want to skip this one. But, if you are ever lost in the middle of the desert you are probably going to wish you had watched.

If you are tired of the same old sitcoms and faked reality shows then you should check out Discovery on Wednesday nights.

Gossip Girl Is Still Very Bad

September 8th, 2008

A new season of Gossip Girl started last Monday, and it continue to live up to the hype of being one of television’s naughtiest shows. A shift from Manhattan to the Hamptons, and a few new faces provided the extra spice and freshness the show needed to keep viewers hooked. Episode two of Gossip Girl was even better than episode one. Remember, if you are not already addicted to Gossip Girl then don’t start watching now because it is “Very Bad For You.”

90210 Is Back

September 3rd, 2008

The show current thirty-somethings loved growing up is back with a new cast of characters and some familiar faces. I have to admit to loving teenage soaps shows like Gossip Girl, O.C., One Tree Hill. Now, the new 90210 makes the list of must watch teenage drama tv.

The cast is full of young good looking actors that also deliver a fairly believable strong acting performance. There was just enough drama to keep your interest, and no doubt as the show progresses the drama will continue to build.  If you have not yet checked out watch 90210 online.

Prison Break Season 4 Premiere

September 2nd, 2008

The new season of Prison Break kicked off yesterday. And we were thrilled to see Sara still alive and back on the show. The previews basically gave it away, but it was still exciting to see her back.

Overall, it was an excellent first show of the season and we give it an A-. At points it was a little difficult to follow the plot, but it is a pretty complex show with a lot going on. It definitely left us wanting more even after 2 straight hours of back to back episodes.
